Senior Teaching & Learning Manager, City & Guilds
I am the Senior Teaching & Learning Manager within City & Guilds, tasked with championing best practice in teaching & learning. As part of this role, I am responsible for the design and delivery of a programme of technical, commercial, IT and competency development within the Product Development Directorate of our organisation. Our learning programmes incorporate a range of in-house and external face-to-face training events, as well as online learning and on the job training for over 200 staff. We call this programme Support for Success. We do work closely with a central L&D department to deliver more generic company-wide programmes, such as leadership development. However, the majority of our activity is run from within the business and focuses on the specific needs of the staff in Product Development.
In addition to my current role I have had over 12 years of experience as an in-company trainer, trainer-trainer and programme manager. I have also run my own language training company; working in-company to deliver language and communication training in Italy.
