Kevin Streater joined The Open University in September 2009 as Executive Director, Employer Engagement - IT and Telecoms after 18 years in various service delivery, project management and training leadership roles at Sun Microsystems - his final position being UK & Ireland Customer Learning Manager.  His current role is to implement an ambitious objective for The Open University to become the largest partner in developing higher level skills for UK employers in the IT and Telecoms sector.

Kevin is a Chartered Fellow of the BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT and sits on the BCS Learning & Development and e-Learning specialist group committees.  Kevin holds a BSc. (Hons) in Computer Science from City University, London, is a Chartered IT Professional, Fellow and Member of the Advisory Board of the Institute of IT Training, member of the SFIA Council and Chair of the Cyber Security Challenge UK Talent Management group.
