Changing behaviours through 'action-mapping': a new approach for e-learning
"Do learners in your organisation complain about boring e-learning? As an alternative to the classic information-dump approach of e-learning, action-mapping is an effective way of producing learning materials that surprise and engage learners with lively, activity-rich materials that encourage real-world change. This session is a chance to learn about it from one of its most respected proponents," said Learning Technologies 2011 Conference Chair, Donald Taylor.
In this interactive session at Learning Technologies 2011, Cathy Moore will take L&D professionals through a streamlined instructional design process that will help them to identify the most powerful activities for an e-learning project, cut excess information and support measurable performance improvement. Cathy's session will cover:
- pinpointing your targeted performance improvement;
- identifing why people aren't performing and how e-learning could help;
- creating compelling, realistic scenarios;
- cutting un-needed information and get subject matter experts to agree;
- identifying what information should go into support materials.
The Learning Technologies 2011 conference takes place on 26-27 January 2011 at London Olympia 2. Learning Technologies conference programme and bookings.
