Swedbank - optimising training efficiency for MS Office migrations

Swedbank is one of Sweden’s largest banks with approximately 10,000 employees.  This seminar describes how it minimised staff downtime for training and reduced its helpdesk loading, during a business-wide system migration to MS Office 2007. 

The solution comprised automated testing and online content, a key component being an effective mechanism to ensure staff were only trained in aspects of Office that were relevant to their job and with which they were not already familiar.   Key aspects to be explored in this case study include:

•         The processes used to conduct the training needs analysis
•         The automated creation of personalised development plans
•         The use of combined train and test
•         The added value of in-application testing
•         An analysis of the time savings achieved
